TRUST CHILDREN


This Trust is being run by a group of young adults who care.

No part of any donation received is used for administration costs. All administrative expenses are borne by committee members. Every penny that is donated reaches the children directly

This is an amazing story of Dharini, who joined us as Kindergarten student in 2004. Coming from an economically under-privileged background, she went on to graduate in B.Sc., Medical Biotechnology and now works as a Consultant Technician for treating vertigo patients in Chennai. Success Story!

Selvam dropped out of school after 8th grade to help his father’s fishing business. Gurukulam stepped in and supported him to continue his studies and today Selvam is an Officer in the Merchant Navy! Read more…


Volunteers

Do you like to teach kids? Play or dance with them? Tell them a story or teach them a new sport? If you like interacting with underprivileged children and making a difference to their lives, Trust Children wants to hear from you. We welcome you to volunteer at Gurukulam School in any capacity that you wish to contribute to our children and staff members.

Volunteers who choose to visit the Gurukulam School for a one week or more and are willing to work with the children and the teachers at Gurukulam, please click the link below to register and to indicate your areas of interest. This way we will be able to customize a plan for you and co-ordinate activities that enhance your visit experience and also benefit the children and staff at the same time.

Hi, my name is Nitish Dharmar. I’m 17 years old and am in my 1st year of A Levels in UK (XII as in India). I love the outdoors and spend a lot of my time playing sports. I am an Explorer Scout and consequently spend a lot of time on camps and expeditions away from home.

My first visit to Trust Children was 2 years ago where I met a young group of Karate champs practising for a state tournament. I was pleasantly surprised that they could fluently continue a conversation in English, and was even more impressed by the quality of the answers given ….. read more

Hi, I am Sanjay Shetty, a financial professional from Philadelphia, USA. I have run multiple half-marathons in the past but this year’s run was a special one as I supported a cause close to my heart.
